ROBOT SECTOR

Korea is the 5th country for the development of Robotics and the 2nd for density of robots compared to the population (2008, International Federation of Robotics), with a share of 8.9% of the world market in 2009, which is forecasted to increase up to 13.3% by 2013 with an export value of 1 billion USD.
This numbers will put Korea at the top of the sector, together with Japan and United States of America.
The incoming delegation is assisted by the General Manager of Daegu Digital Industry Promotion Agency. Daegu, 302 km South-East of Seoul, is the capital city of Korean Robotics, well-known abroad due to the opening of the Korean Institute for Robot Industry Advancement (KIRIA), the first one of this kind in Korea, that started its activities last July.
