July 27, 2010 Seoul – ITCCK Board of Directors Meeting

The first meeting of the new elected ITCCK Board of Directors took place in Seoul on July 27th. The main subjects of discussion have been the future event activities of ITCCK, the issue of an internal Directory of ITCCK Members and the establishment of a Fashion & Luxury Committee.

June 23, 2010 Seoul - ITCCK General Meeting

In occasion of the 2010 General Meeting there will be the chance to celebrate the second year of activity of the ITCCK from its establishment (May 2008). There will also be the chance to elect the new Committee positions, to discuss about 2009 activities and about the schedule and budget for the current year. The General Meeting will be followed by a buffet dinner at 19.30.

June 11, 2010 Seoul - [Inter Chamber Seminar] State of Work-Life Balance

Like many other key cities in Asia, Seoul faces significant challenges in terms of the work-life balance of its working population. Globally, South Koreans have a reputation for a rigorous work ethic, putting in long hours and working overtime – often at the expense of personal considerations. Anecdotally we know this to be true, but until now we have not had the representative data to support this.

For the first time, the findings of the State of Work-Life Balance in Seoul 2010 Survey will provide some real facts and enable us to assess to what extent work-life balance is a challenge for employees in South Korea. This representative survey of the working population in Seoul - the first of its kind for South Korea, will serve as an important reference point for the business community. In particular it will enable companies to understand the current work and life patterns of employees in Seoul, their level of satisfaction with their current work-life balance, the key problems they face and their most desired solutions.

We are pleased to invite you to the Work-Life Balance Seminar, an open forum for discussing Work-Life challenges and solutions based on these findings. The seminar is sponsored by Inter-Cham, an alliance of Foreign Chamber of Commerce in Korea and the Korean Chamber of Commerce and Industry.

July 15, 2009 Seoul - ITCCK Committee Meeting

In the occasion of the last meeting of the Board of Directors, held in Seoul on July 15 2009, under proposal of ITCCK’s President, Dott. Salvatore Armanno, former executive of Palermo Chamber of Commerce, has been appointed unanimously “adviser” of the Italian Chamber of Commerce in Korea. Dott. Armanno will care about the relations of the ITCCK in Sicily, in particular with the entrepreneurial world and the local institutions.

July 2 – 3, 2009 - 13 Convention of the Italian Chambers of Commerce Abroad (areas Asia and Africa)

Mr. Alessandro Canova, Vice President of Assioma Net and Member of the Board of the Italian Chamber of Commerce in Korea attended the 13 Convention of the Italian Chamber of Commerce Abroad, referred to the areas of Asia and Africa. On that occasion a delegation of around 20 representatives of the Italian Chambers of Commerce of the above areas reached Vicenza for the Convention. The group included Presidents and Secretary General of the main Chambers based in that regions and it was leaded by Davide Cucino, President of the Italian Chamber of Commerce in China.
The Convention has been focused on the theme: "To relaunche the Made in Italy in Asia and Africa: the look of the Italian Chambers of Commerce Abroad past the crisis"
