Polselli와 Boratr, 한국에서 첫 공식 나폴리 피자 대회 개최

지난 9월 16일, 성수동 AUBE STUDIO에서 『1st CONTEST POLSELLI SEOUL 2025』가 성공적으로 개최되었습니다. 이번 대회는 이탈리아 프리미엄 밀가루 브랜드 Polselli(폴셀리)가 주최하고, 한국 내 이탈리아 식문화를 선도하는 ㈜Boratr(보라티알)이 주관했으며, 주한 이탈리아 상공회의소(ITCCK)가 협력기관으로 함께했습니다.

이번 콘테스트는 Polselli와 Boratr이 마련한 첫 공식 나폴리 피자 대회로, 전국에서 선발된 30명의 피자이올로들이 참가했습니다. 참가자들은 Polselli 밀가루를 사용해 정통 나폴리 피자의 반죽과 발효, 굽기 기술을 선보이며, 나폴리 피자의 본질과 현대적 해석을 동시에 담아낸 작품들을 무대에 올렸습니다.

치열한 경쟁 끝에 서울 「도우클럽」의 윤혜식 피자이올로가 영예의 초대 챔피언(1위)을 차지했습니다. 이어 전주 「불칸」의 김소윤이 2위, 부천 「디몰토 핏제리아」의 최민구가 3위를 수상했습니다.

우승자 윤혜식 피자이올로에게는 특별한 특전이 주어졌습니다. 그는 2026년 1월, 이탈리아 리미니에서 열리는 세계적 식품 박람회 SIGEP 국제대전에 Polselli 팀 소속으로 공식 참가하게 됩니다. 또한 SIGEP 피자 대회 출전 기회가 주어지며, 이 대회에서 우승할 경우 미국 라스베가스 세계 피자 대회(World Pizza Championship) 참가 자격까지 이어집니다. 이는 한국 피자이올로가 국제적인 무대에서 역량을 선보이고 세계와 교류할 수 있는 뜻깊은 기회라 할 수 있습니다.

대회 현장은 단순한 경연을 넘어 이탈리아 식문화 축제의 장으로 꾸며졌습니다. 데체코, 메뉴, 갈바니나, 유로포멜라 등 이탈리아 대표 식품 브랜드들이 부스를 운영하며 시식과 체험을 제공했고, 관람객들은 다양한 행사를 통해 정통 이탈리아의 맛과 문화를 직접 경험할 수 있었습니다.

이번 행사는 한국 피자이올로들의 열정과 기량을 세계와 연결시키는 동시에, 이탈리아와 한국 간 식문화 교류를 심화하는 계기가 되었습니다. 주최 측은 “앞으로도 Polselli와 함께 정통성과 혁신을 아우르는 한국 피자 문화 확산에 기여하겠다”고 전하며, 향후 지속적인 개최에 대한 의지를 밝혔습니다.

Polselli and BORATR Host the First Official Neapolitan Pizza Contest in Korea
『1st CONTEST POLSELLI SEOUL 2025』 Successfully Concludes in Seoul

On September 16, 2025, the 『1st CONTEST POLSELLI SEOUL 2025』 was successfully held at AUBE STUDIO in Seongsu-dong, Seoul. The event was hosted by Polselli, organized by BORATR, and supported by the Italian Chamber of Commerce in Korea (ITCCK) as an official partner.

This contest marked the first official Neapolitan pizza competition jointly presented by Polselli and BORATR, bringing together 30 selected pizzaioli from across the nation. Participants showcased their mastery of authentic Neapolitan pizza, presenting dough made with Polselli flour, perfected fermentation, and traditional baking techniques, while also adding their own creative interpretations.

After a highly competitive day, Mr. Hyesik Yoon from “Dough Club” in Seoul was crowned as the inaugural champion (1st place). Ms. Soyoon Kim from “Vulcan” in Jeonju won 2nd place, and Mr. Mingu Choi from “Di Molto Pizzeria” in Bucheon took 3rd place, each demonstrating the strength and diversity of Korea’s pizzaiolo community.

The champion was awarded a truly remarkable prize: the opportunity to officially represent the Polselli team at the SIGEP International Exhibition in Rimini, Italy, in January 2026. During the five-day event, Mr. Yoon will join Polselli at its booth, engage with international pizza masters, and compete in the SIGEP Pizza Contest. Moreover, winners of the SIGEP competition will qualify to participate in the prestigious World Pizza Championship in Las Vegas, opening new doors for international recognition and cultural exchange.

Beyond the competition, the event served as a celebration of Italian culinary culture. Renowned Italian brands such as De Cecco, Menu, Galvanina, and Euroformella hosted booths, offering tastings and product experiences. Visitors also enjoyed a lively festival atmosphere with lucky draws, social media events, and interactive programs.

The contest not only highlighted the passion and skills of Korean pizzaioli but also strengthened cultural and culinary ties between Italy and Korea. The organizers stated, “Through this contest, we aimed to create a meaningful platform connecting Korean pizzaioli to the world stage. Together with Polselli, we will continue to promote the growth and innovation of authentic pizza culture in Korea.”

With the enthusiastic response of participants and visitors alike, the success of this first edition has already sparked high expectations for future contests.
