Valpolicella Wines in Seoul - A Two-Day Journey Recap!
The Italian Chamber of Commerce in Korea (ITCCK) and the Consorzio Tutela Vini Valpolicella were delighted to host “Valpolicella Wines in Seoul”, a two-day celebration of one of Northern Italy’s most prestigious wine regions.
Day 1 | October 20, 2025
The event opened with a Masterclass (Sommelier Jung A Sung Italy Podo) on Valpolicella wines (in Korean), followed by a Walkaround Tasting featuring 12 distinguished wineries from the region. Guests, including sommeliers, importers, restaurateurs, and media, explored the diversity of denominations such as Amarone della Valpolicella DOCG, Valpolicella DOC, Ripasso DOC, and Recioto DOCG.
In addition, a dedicated Press Event gave journalists the opportunity to participate in a blind tasting and attend a presentation on the world of Valpolicella wines, deepening their understanding of this area.
Day 2 | October 21, 2025
The second day began with a Market Intelligence Session by Tridge, where Yoojin Cha and Byoungseob Luke Lee shared data-driven insights on opportunities and trends in the Korean wine market. This sparked meaningful discussions among the wineries about their export experiences and strategies, offering a clearer view of Korea’s evolving landscape.
Following the session, the Valpolicella delegation visited several Seoul wine shops to deepen their understanding of local consumer preferences and market dynamics, and concluded the day with an elegant Valpolicella Wine Dinner at MishMash restaurant, where representatives, wine experts, and influencers gathered to celebrate the success of this Italian-Korean exchange.

주한이탈리아상공회의소(ITCCK)와 발폴리첼라 와인 보호협회(Consorzio Tutela Vini Valpolicella)는 2일간 이탈리아 북부를 대표하는 명성 높은 와인 산지 중 하나인 발폴리첼라를 기념하는 특별한 행사를 개최했습니다.
1일차 | 2025년 10월 20일
첫째 날은 발폴리첼라 와인 마스터 클래스 (소믈리에 정아성, 이태포도)로 행사를 시작했으며, 이어서 12개의 주요 와이너리가 참여한 워크어라운드 시음회가 진행되었습니다.
소뮬리에, 수입사, 레스토랑, 호텔, 미디어 등 다양한 참석자들이 Amarone della Valpolicella DOCG, Valpolicella DOC, Ripasso DOC, and Recioto DOCG 등의 와인을 직접 시음하며 다양한 종류의 특성과 개성을 경험할 수 있었습니다.
또한, 별도의 기자 간담회를 통해 기자분들은 와인 테이스팅과 함께 발폴리첼라 와인을 세계를 깊이 탐구하며 발폴리첼라 지역에 대한 이해를 높일 수 있었습니다.

둘째 날은 Tridge의 와인 시장 조사 발표로 시작되었습니다.
차유진 발표자와 이병섭(Luke) 발표자는 한국 와인 시장의 트렌드와 수출 기회에 대한 전문적인 인사이트를 공유하며, 현지 시장에 대한 폭넓은 논의를 이끌었습니다.
이 세션을 통해 와이너리 관계자들은 한국 시장의 변화와 진출 전략에 대한 구체적인 방향을 모색할 수 있었습니다.
이후 발폴리첼라 대표단은 서울 곳곳의 주요 와인숍을 방문하여 현지 소비자의 선호도와 시장 흐름을 직접 체험했습니다.
마지막으로, 미쉬매쉬(MishMash) 레스토랑에서 열린 발폴리첼라 와인 디너로 행사의 피날레를 장식했습니다.
이 자리에는 와인 전문가, 인플루언서, 업계 관계자들이 함께 모여 이번 발폴리첼라 행사를 통한 이탈리아와 한국 간의 교류를 축하했습니다.
