Annual General Meeting 2026 - ITCCK Continues to Grow

On May 22nd, the Italian Chamber of Commerce in Korea (ITCCK) held its Annual General Meeting 2026 at Casa Antonio, 14F Hotel Eliena in Gangnam, bringing together members, institutions, and business leaders to review the Chamber's performance and chart the path ahead.

The session was opened with institutional remarks by H.E. Emilia Gatto, Ambassador of Italy to Korea, and ITCCK President Andrea Verazzi, who emphasized the value of the Chamber community and the growing momentum of Italian-Korean economic relations.

Before the formal agenda, Vincenzo Tamarindo, Economic Counsellor at the Italian Embassy in Seoul, delivered an analysis of Italy-Korea trade exchanges, offering valuable context on bilateral economic trends.

Secretary General Jacopo Giuman presented the Chamber's activities for 2025/2026. The year was marked by strong results across all fronts: membership reached 200 as of December 2025, and the Chamber was recognized in the Diamond Cluster - the highest tier - of the Assocamerestero Scoring System 2025, based on 12 institutional and operational indicators.

The 2025 activity calendar was rich and varied, spanning networking events, B2B meetings, seminars, and food and wine promotion initiatives. Among the highlights: the Prosecco DOC Garden Seoul, a week-long celebration featuring a press conference, an opening party with over 150 guests, and a masterclass for influencers; and the Valpolicella Consortium Delegation, a two-day program including a masterclass in Korean, a walkaround tasting with 12 wineries, and an exclusive wine dinner. The year also saw the launch of two new standing committees - the Luxury Committee, bringing together key Italian luxury stakeholders in Korea, and the F&B Committee, connecting restaurateurs, importers, and hotel representatives to share industry insights and foster collaboration.

The first half of 2026 continued at pace, with a strong program of B2B events, seminars, and institutional activities. A standout on the networking side was the Bellini Canella Networking Aperitivo series by ITCCK, held across three editions at Truffle di Alba, Conrad Seoul, and Casa Antonio, which quickly became one of the Chamber's most appreciated recurring formats. ITCCK also welcomed a delegation of 21 Italian companies from Confindustria Varese, Bergamo, and Emilia as part of the Open Mind project, hosting visits to leading Korean corporations and innovation hubs.

Looking ahead, the second half of 2026 features a full calendar of seminars, B2B programs, promotional campaigns, and networking events - including the Gala Dinner 2026 and the launch of the new Industrial Committee, alongside the continued activities of the Luxury and F&B Committees.

On the board side, the Assembly confirmed Jenny Lim, CEO of K-CareerNet, as the new member of the ITCCK Board of Directors - elected by acclamation, as no other candidacy was submitted. The meeting was closed at 19:00, followed by the traditional Bellini Canella aperitivo.

With a record membership base, Diamond Cluster recognition, and an increasingly diversified program, ITCCK enters the second half of 2026 with strong foundations and clear ambitions for the Italian business community in Korea.
